The government has set new targets for specialist care. You should start treatment less than 18 weeks after being referred by your GP. This is brilliant news for patients - no more endless queues and a smoother, more efficient journey from the moment you see your GP through to every stage of your care. That's because we're working with GPs, PCTs and other service providers - working together to make sure all patients receive the fastest, most efficient healthcare possible.
